Wight - Middle English term for a creature or living being.

White - Having been marked by upright fairness; Being a member of a group or race characterized by light pigmentation of the skin; Free from moral impurities

Black - Having dark skin; Various populations with dark pigmentation of skin; Can also be used to describe being dirty, soiled, sad, or gloomy; Indo-European derived from "Bhleg" - to be burnt with black smoke. It is the colour pertaining to matter that was colourless from the absence of complete absorption of light. During the 16th century it received literal connotations meaning to stain black or otherwise defaming one's reputation.

Brown - Mestizo Hispanics and Dravidian Caucasoid/Indo-Aryan people of South Asia sometimes referred to themselves as being brown or bronze.

Red - Represented as blood, guilt, sin, and anger. Nathanial Hawthorne quoted in his novel, "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow". He was referring to the sins of Hester Prynne for adultery.

  2. I left class on Tuesday because the teacher never showed up and then when I got to class yesterday, no one was there. I waited until about 10:05 and absolutely no one showed up, so I left again. Did everyone get an email or something because I haven't gotten anything. Also, I've emailed our teacher a couple times but have gotten no response. My email is kburket45@yahoo.com if anyone can help out. I'm not sure if there is class today or not since there was no class Tuesday or Wednesday.
